PHED: Your Partner in Progress

Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) is no longer a Government-run company
but privately owned and managed by 4 Power Consortium.

As a private company, PHED is looking forward to making improvements to the electricity distribution network that it could not do before.

This means we will be able to provide our customers with a more reliable and efficient electricity supply to their homes and businesses.

To do this, we will have to make some changes to the way we work, deal with our customers and generally go about our business. These changes are necessary if we are to become a true 21st Century company that our country can be proud of.

If we don’t make the changes that are needed, it could put PHED’s future and your own at risk.

Of course, we won’t be able to do everything that needs to be done straight away. It is going to take time but it will be worth it.

For you, it means you will be working for a safer and fairer company, one in which you can learn new skills, get better at your work, earn performance-based pay and enjoy new career opportunities.

Over the coming weeks, you will have opportunities to go to meetings where you will learn more about the new PHED and how you can play your part in making it a better organization, and a success.

So think of this as a very exciting time for PHED and everyone who works here.

I hope that you will make the most of everything that our new company has to offer as we move towards becoming the most efficient and sustainable utility company and the best provider of services in Nigeria.
